Dearest NYC area activists:
We’re writing to invite you to join us in New York City on Friday, September 25, for 60 Million Survivors Rising NYC – a public action bringing survivors and those who stand with them into the streets to disrupt the injustice, break the silence, and demand accountability, healing, and change.
There are more than 60 million survivors in the United States. This action is for every survivor, across every community, and for everyone who loves them.
September 25 will also fall during Climate Week, when activists and movement leaders from around the country and the world will be in New York. We hope this action can bring movements and communities together and remind the world that violence against survivors is not isolated – it is systemic, and our struggles for justice are deeply connected.
The New York action is part of 60 Million Survivors Rising, a national call for communities across the country to rise through art, music, movement, storytelling, and collective action.
The event will take place in Manhattan, location details to be announced closer to the event. Sign up and let us know you are coming.

*According to the United Nations and the World Health Organization, 1 in 3 women worldwide will experience physical or sexual violence in their lifetime. That is more than 60 million women in the United States and over ONE BILLION women globally. Transgender, nonbinary, and gender-expansive people face even higher rates of violence, assault, and harassment worldwide.
