“On Global One Billion Rising (OBR) Day, February 14th, 2025, Dostana Safar organized a vibrant and impactful “Lovers Pride Parade” (Prem Rang Mahotsav), about 300 people joined the pride parade in Patna, Bihar as part of One Billion Rising campaign themed “Rise For Diversity, Inclusion And Dignity of All.” The primary goal of this event was to raise awareness and take a strong stand against violence in love. Alongside this key message, the parade also highlighted other important social issues, emphasizing inclusivity and justice for all.

Participants from both the village and city came together in a powerful rally, making their way around the iconic Gandhi Maidan. The event culminated in a gathering at a restaurant owned and run by transgender individuals, fostering a sense of solidarity, support, and community among all marginalized groups.”
