From November 25, International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women, until December 10, Human Rights Day (in some regions, until December 18th – International Migrants Day), the campaign 16 DAYS OF ACTIVISM against Gender Violence is a time to STAND UP and RISE to end violence against all women and girls (cisgender and transgender and those with fluent identities).

Global coordinators of One Billion Rising in Australia, Austria, Cambodia, Croatia, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Fiji, Guatemala, Indonesia, Jamaica , Mexico, Myanmar, Rwanda, Taiwan, The United Arab Emirates, the United Kingdom, United States of America and across the globe – will launch OBR 2021 with the theme #Rising Gardens, harnessing the global energy of the #16 DaysOfActivism as they prepare for global events of One Billion Rising in February to bring the issue of gender violence to the front and center of their communities.

One billion Pie coordinators take advantage of the momentum to promote the seeds of their campaign and present the problems of violence against women and the many ways this has worsened and reported by the Covid-19 crisis and the destructive veins of neoliberalism, capitalism and racism.
