Join this event sponsored by House of Ruth, Project Sister Family Services and University of La Verne. Join us at both cities or drop in at a specific location for speakers, music, dance, spoken word. This is a global call to survivors of violence and those who love them to gather safely in places where they are entitled to justice. The day will encompass events at University of La Verne Sneaky Park and Pomona Civic Center Plaza. The focus is the survivor’s journey and the events will symbolize the path taken by a survivor as they come forward, seek help and navigate the challenges inherent in achieving safety, empowerment and justice. A unique experience we will provide is story cards that will describe the journey taken by a survivor on their path to justice. These will be handed out at both sites and at the conclusion the cards will be read ending in what justice means to the survivor. Other interactive events include “One Billion Rising” video experience, Justice photo booth, Graffiti boards and “Break the Chains” flash mob. Here are some of the members of our committee.
