“We are proud to share the video of our students who participated in One Billion Rising 2025, joining the global movement against violence against women. With their energy and passion, they helped spread a message of freedom and solidarity.

Together, let’s break the chains of violence.” – Il Ramo

“On the occasion of Valentine’s Day, Piazza Castello, in Lodi, was colored red, a symbolic color of the fight against gender violence, to remember that love has nothing to do with violence.

The gathering was held thanks to One Billion Rising, the global campaign to end violence against women, and some institutions in Lodi and Codogno also collaborated. “It is important that young people also open their eyes and feel involved in this event because it is a fight that must be fought by as many people as possible,” recalls Manuela Minojetti, councilor of the Municipality of Lodi.

The event was accompanied by the notes of the song Break the Chain (in Italian, “break the chains”), a piece to which the dancers of the Lodi dance school, Il Ramo, danced. The key theme is in fact that of “breaking the chains”, so that women who feel forced into toxic and violent relationships can finally feel free.” – il Cittadino
