Hundreds of women ravaged by killings, rape, and displacement in Southern Kaduna communities in Nigeria. On Wednesday, 22 July 2020, a protest was held to demand justice from the government of Nigeria for genocide and atrocities committed in their communities, including the wiping out of human lives in certain villages and burning of such villages by suspected Fulani herdsmen militias.

There are over 8000 Internally Displaced Persons Camps in communities in Southern Kaduna, as communities continue to be invaded, villagers lose their lives to these attacks in the hundreds, especially women and children who are murdered in gruesome manners, raped, and kidnapped. No one has been held responsible or arrested for these atrocities. The silence of the government, the media, and international organizations towards these attacks has become worrisome to the Nigerian people.

We #RiseInSolidarity with our mothers and sisters in Southern Kaduna and totally condemn the Southern Kaduna genocide.”
