Celebrate Valentine’s Day 2019 in a meaningful and fun way!

Womxn across Copenhagen are invited to gather at Kulturhuset Indre By to dance and stand together to demand an end to violence against womxn as part of a global event.

One Billion Rising have teamed up with A Seat At The Table for the annual One Billion Rising event. Together we have dedicated a Valentine’s Day evening to uplift, care for and re-energise the mind, body and soul. At A Seat At The Table, we believe that representation matters and we’ve built our platform on the need to create a safe space to share our experiences as the individuals we are, and we’re excited and honoured to have this opportunity to facilitate a similar safe space for other self identifying womxn of all walks of life.

One Billion Rising is the biggest mass action to end violence against womxn (cisgender, transgender, and those who hold fluid identities that are subject to gender based violence) in human history. The campaign, which launched on Valentine’s Day 2012, began as a call to action based on the staggering statistic that 1 in 3 women on the planet will be beaten or raped during her lifetime. With the world population at 7 billion, this adds up to more than ONE BILLION womxn and girls.

We aspire to bring 100 womxn together to dance and stand together in solidarity on the same day as people from 200 other countries around the world.
