Delhi, India will have a big rising for International Women’s Day. Around 30 organizations have come together to organize a women’s day March on the 8th of March. One Billion Rising is an active participant. More than 1000 women and men are expected to be joining the March. It will start at 11AM IST. After the march, there will be a public meeting discussing the women’s movements and the various issues that the different organisers work on.

This Women’s Day we come together to celebrate our solidarities and our resistance to the brazen patriarchal, casteist, communal and regressive forces that are operating with utter impunity in the country. Together we reaffirm our commitment to building a violence-free, just society.

Gather outside Gate 3 and 4 of Rajiv Chowk metro station at 11 AM and move together towards Parliament Street.
