Dance for Empowerment! Dance to end violence! Come join the dance revolution in the heart of Surry Hills. Our 4th annual event starts at 5pm when a female Hip Hop DJ provides the beat-heavy soundtrack for the ‘chalking of the sidewalks’. At 6pm, Charemaine Seet of Seet Dance School, will lead a mass dance to protest gender-based violence in Australia and around the world. We will be dancing to Janelle Monáe’s visionary song “Electric Lady”. Everyone can learn the dance ahead of time by booking a free rehearsal with us. email [email protected] for more info. Also, check out video lessons of the dance using this Vimeo link. The password is: pink
