One Billion Rising Revolution Miami launched its campaign with a series of events including a “Safe Space” workshop, a public panel with Eve Ensler, Miami community leaders including Fran Katz of The Women’s Fund and Ivon Mesa of Miami-Dade County’s Coordinated Victims Assistance Center and representatives from local organizations, including There Is Hope For Me; Casa Valentina; Stop The Sale Of Our Children For Sex; Lotus House; Girl Power; AGAPE; Juvenile Justice; Haitian Women of Miami, CARE, and Guardian Ad Litem. The evening also included drumming, dancing and art.
