As coordinator of One Billion Rising Gabon we raised awareness with thirty children present at a basketball camp in Makokou on November 20, about the rights of the child and what these rights mean in their daily lives.

Because protecting their bodies is protecting their future.
Because preserving their environment means ensuring them a safer future.

It is in this spirit that we carry up our theme:

“Rise for our bodies, our earth, our future”

By teaching them their rights, we help them stand up for themselves, for their communities, and for the world they will build tomorrow.

Together, let’s continue to stand up against all forms of violence and build a future where every child can grow up in safety, with dignity, and freedom.
