“Northern Samar Joins Campaign to End Violence Against Women

The Provincial Government of Northern Samar is one with the world in the campaign for women empowerment and gender equality, through the One Billion Rising event on February 13, 2026.

The annual solidarity gathering was held at UEP Academic Building echoing a unified campaign with this year’s theme, “RISE for Our Bodies, Our Earth, Our Future”, raising awareness about the discrimination and violence faced by 1 in every 3 women around the world.

The Provincial Government stands united with the University of Eastern Philippines, and other partner agencies in upholding the rights and protecting the welfare of women.”
