“One Billion Rising” rally campaign is a global mass action movement held every year since 2013, established on the 15th anniversary of V-Day movement, united activists for ending violence against women and girls. The movement in Mongolia held for the 4th time since the beginning, with collaboration of civil society organizations that fight to end violence against  girls and women. 

This year 2016, in the theme of “Rise For Revolution” Mongolia organized a march calling out the public to fight and end domestic violence through art, despite the cold weather of -20 Celsius in the street. The zentangle artwork was illustrated by artist S.Togs-Oyun, and the public coloured each section.

During the rally, over 150 young members of society and 23 human rights organisations demanded the parliament to immediately approve the renewed version of the “Domestic Violence Law”
