Since 2013 One Billion Rising is part of the world and of course also in Berlin. From that year on we have organized the event at the Brandenburger Tor, a sign for victory and freedom. To make it possible for everyone (not only dancers) to participate this event against violence against women and girls we invented a new, easy choreography. We are a Sport Centre in Berlin Reinickendorf which is sponsored by the Gesellschaft für Jugendsozialarbeit a Initiative of Sportjugend Berlin. We connect gender work with dancing and transform difficult topics into different choreographies. Through the years we had different projects against sexism and violence such as “Respect Girls” so when we heard of the idea of One Billion Rising, there was no hesitating!
