The following call is from One Billion Rising Africa Coordinator Colani Hlatjwako from Swaziland – and was created by various African Women’s Organizations.

The call was created by African women who are concerned about the violence in Sudan and the entire Africa – and who are organizing One Billion Rising in their countries.

The women – delegates of the International Visitors Leadership Program – created their group called PAMOJA (meaning “we are one”). They are asking the world to stand in solidarity with Jane and all the women of South Sudan.

Foni Jane Josephine is a widow and an activist. During this current war in South Sudan, her home was burnt down recently and her daughter was raped by the soldiers. She is currently in hiding, fearing for her life and her children’s lives.

Let us stand in solidarity with Jane and our sisters in South Sudan and all over Africa.
