My dream of revolution is for my daughters to live in a world where they do not feel like prey in a world of hunters. A world where they are not raped as I was. Where they are not subjected to kissing, fondling and sexually explicit talk and suggestions in their own homes, in public, at school or in the workplace as I was. I wish for them to be left alone to grow without older men or woman manipulating them for the purpose of using them sexually as happened to me. I want them to be free to be believe in God without the propaganda or teaching that to do so is to be a lesser being, that to do so requires them to submit their minds and bodies to any man or that she must lower her gaze and voice or walk behind any man to be a woman of God. I wish for my daughters to live in a world where they are encouraged to think big, to dream big, to break boundaries, kick down doors and shatter glass ceilings but to also live simply and be their natural selves. To raise children in peace and be loved for who they are without reservation when and if they choose. I wish for my daughters to live in a world where they are free to “LIVE!”.
