"The Good Body" charity fashion show - a celebration of all women's bodies!
The aim is to show that each woman is beautiful and enough just as she is, regardless of her age, shape, size and background. We don't have to have special measurements, or different this or that to be liked and accepted by ourselves and the others. We are enough and beautiful just as we are.
The aim is also to address how women are presented in the media, and how the media pressure affects women and girls, especially in view of eating disorders.
There will be a presentation of fashions from various sponsors from Bornheim and Bonn, and a live auction and a silent auction of donated items. Donations and proceeds will be distributed between local charities and projects working with and for women, committed to bringing an end to violence against women and girls.

Die Modenschau findet im Rahmen von V-Day Bornheim 2014 statt.
Ziel ist es, zu zeigen,
• dass jede Frau wunderschön und genug ist, so wie sie ist,
• das verzerrte Bild von Frauen in den Medien zu korrigieren,
• die Aufmerksamkeit zu erregen für das Thema „Gewalt gegen Frauen und Mädchen“.
Im Rahmen der Modenschau wird Mode für verschiedene Styles und Anlässe gezeigt, getragen von Frauen aus unsere Umgebung mit jeder Größe, jeden Alters, jeder Herkunft.
Dank der großzügigen Spenden können viele Modelle und Accessoires im Anschluss an die Modenschau öffentlich und still versteigert werden.
Der Erlös der Veranstaltung kommt verschiedenen Hilfsprojekten und Hilfsorganisationen für Frauen zu Gute.
Am Rande der Veranstaltung gibt es verschiedene Informationsstände wie z.B. professionelle psychologische Beratung für Frauen, Mädchen und Familien, rechtliche Beratung in Familienrecht/Erbrecht, Frauenzentrum Troisdorf, Gleichstellungsbeauftragte der Stadt Bornheim, Autonomes Frauenhaus Bonn, Bonner Frauenhaus, UN Women Nationales Komitee für Deutschland, medica mondiale, Terre des Femmes – Städtegruppe Köln (müssen noch bestätigt werden). Ebenso präsentieren sich die unterstützenden Gewerbebetriebe.
