Justice is knowing I can breathe easy.
Justice is knowing that I deserve more.
Justice is knowing others will stand up for me, when I cannot stand for myself.
Justice is knowing that what I think, say, do… means something.
Justice is peace.
Justice is calm.
Justice is an equalizer, a fist in the air saying we won’t go quietly, but neither will we sink to your level.
Justice is strength.
Strength in numbers.
Strength in knowledge.
Strength in each other, our experiences and our future.
Justice means hope.
Hope.
A foreign thought.
Hope doesn’t seem possible when you are less than nothing.
But with each voice added, we grow louder, burgeoning outwards, encompassing hearts, minds, souls…
and hope permeates.
Justice.
Justice means it wasn’t all for nothing.
