Where women can be able to report sexual offences with no fear that because she is married to the person who raped her that it is to be judged within the prosecution in the same manner as if a stranger had raped her, unfortunately mybecperience of the UK judicial system has left me deeply wounded and have lost my faith in a system that was set up to protect victims….I was released from the care system at age of 17 classed as a vulnerable young person I dated a man 21 years older than me professionals have since described the relationship along the lines that he groomed me, it was identified within the first 4 years of our relationship that I was a victim of domestic abuse but nobody did anything, 15 years later and 4 children later after being subject to every other form of abuse except violence I am now free, but my children are now subject to a child protection plan and are no longer able to have any direct contact with their dad the perpetrator, I have come to develop a faith (freedom has allowed me to do so) and i want to help assist in any way I can to ensure that no other woman has to face an injustice at the hand of an abusive partner
