Estella Couture is an International Fashion company that started in MD, USA. Over the years, the founder, Ms. Estella Ogbonna has incorporated her Non-profit background, humanitarian and Community Development effort into her fashion career.
Estella Couture was created in 2006, and since then, the fashion label has hit the ground running. Bringing out designs that were very futuristic that some upcoming designers even, now make collections that are reflective of designs Ms. Estella made as far back as 2006.
Her designs are very unique, original, glamourous, elegant, luxurious, as well as made budget-friendly. Before people caught on the fad of making couture and everyday wears with African ethnic fabrics and materials, Ms. Estella Ogbonna, already had them in her collections.
Most important to her was using the awards, laurels and fame that fashion gave her to draw attention to issues that affect the less privileged.
Not keen on reinventing the wheel by launching a non-profit organization, Ms. Estella works with existing non-profit organizations on causes that that dear to her, and when necessary, she has organized events as well to address issues in society.
Ms. Estella Ogbonna has incorporated her Non-profit background, humanitarian and Community Development effort into her fashion career. By organizing events and supporting causes that help the lives of the less privileged and oppressed in diverse communities.
Unfortunately, Ms. Estella has seen the bad side of Domestic Violence and her rights abused as a woman. With no recourse from the law! As people have come to accept some wrongs as the 'norm'. Or others have chosen NOT to speak out because of fear, stigma and not having any listening ear.
These are things that drive Ms. Estella to work on Women Health Rights and reproductive issues.
Ms. Estella is a Fellow of Gloria Steinem Leadership and Advocacy Issues in Washington DC. Also a Fellow of CHOICE-USA, Wash. DC.
Estella Couture Charity dept. has been involved in lots of charity events that supports causes like breast Cancer, Rape, Domestic Violence, Orphan Care, Widows' Economic & Skills empowerment and natural disaster relief efforts.
Estella Couture is not a 501(c) 3 organization, but the working motto of Ms. Estella is: "using her talents to Bless others, and being a popular fashion designer is a platform that opens lots of doors for her to achieve a lot for the less privileged."
Which is the main reason she relocated to Nigeria at the moment.
