About The Event
Our VDay event is an online celebration of women in our varied forms. Over the past few months, we have fostered a safe and creative environment where we can express ourselves as women, feminists, mothers, daughters, allies, and co conspirators. Writing as a group and sharing our experiences was one of the most cleansing undergoings, and we would like to share what we have discovered with the public. This combination of prose, song, poetry, rap, and stand-up will be an eye-opening experience not only for those listening, but for those participating, as we learn more about ourselves as women.
About The Organization
INSPIRE (Introducting New Solutions for Promoting Integrity and Respect Everywhere)
INSPIRE (Introducing New Solutions for Promoting Integrity and Respect Everywhere) is the club for equity and diversity dialogue and leadership in Dwight Englewood's highschool. It brings students from different social identities together consistently for discussion, leadership training, and community-based projects. This club is a free space to talk about cultural issues within Dwight Englewood and the outside world. Every meeting is filled with either activities, games, and videos to make them inclusive and entertaining. We also discuss current events dealing with race, ethnicity, and diversity. This club offers numerous opportunities to attend conferences outside the Dwight community such as Teens Talk about Racism, DAIS, and more.
