Organized in 1867, the First Universalist Church of Pittsfield is one of Pittsfield’s oldest continuously worshiping faith communities. It is a member of the Unitarian Universalist Association of Congregations (UUA).
Unitarian Universalists are known for their social activism. From reproductive justice to LGBT rights and marriage equality issues, our congregation has been at the forefront of creating positive change in our communities.

"Twinkle" Marie Manning is an award winning television producer, author, poet and the newest member of Pittsfield's Town Council. She is an event planner extraordinaire, having coordinated events from Canada to Florida, Maine to California. Her work focuses largely on Women's Empowerment, Social Justice, and Wellness. She has been given citations by State rep in Massachusetts for her work in Empowering Women, as the executive producer of the Empowering Women Television Series on PEG TV. In 2015 she co-produced the International Women's Day celebrations in Santa Barbara, California. She is an experienced 1 Billion Rising/VDay coordinator, having hosted two events in her former home-town of Concord, MA in 2013 and 2014. She is passionate about ending domestic violence in our communities and in our world.
