On Sunday February 14, 2016, at 12:00 PM Tulsa, OK will join with
activists around the world for ONE BILLION RISING FOR REVOLUTION. We will come together to rise, strike, and dance to demand an end to violence in our world.
Do you want to dance with us?!?! Learn the Flash Mob Saturday, Feb.13, 11am @ Flyloft Studio in downtown Tulsa 117 N. Boston Ave, across from Hey Mambo. Look for the Woody Guthrie mural! $5 donation for the class.
The Tulsa, OK One Billion Rising event will take place on Sunday, February 14, 2016 at 12:00PM – 4:00 PM at Guthrie Green 111 E. M.B. Brady Street.
We will celebrate with speakers, poets, music, drumming and dancing. We will dance, release our stories, and speak out about justice and the need to end violence in our world. The public is encouraged to wear bright colors (Red and Pink), play instruments, read poetry about women’s issues, register to vote, and make connections with new people who share a common vision for a world without violence. Donations are welcome and will benefit Women In Recovery.
There will be information booths such as Sally's List, Women Lead Network, Warrior Sisters, Veteran's Empowerment, DVIS, Women In Recovery, and more!
