We will gather to create a sacred space for calling in the goddess in Afghanistan, whom I encountered as the "Blue Lapis Tara,_" using poetry from recently-released collection "Reclaiming the Apple: Poems from Afghanistan,""
Bring altar items, especially lapis in her honor. The poetry collection and beautiful paintings by visionary artist Elizabeth Gibbons will be for sale, and portions of proceeds go to Afghan 4 Tomorrow, an NGO supporting education and medical care for women and children in Afganistan. We'll wind up with celebrating with food and drink.

About The Organizer
Adrienne Amundsen
I am a psychologist working with trauma, creativity, and other issues. I'm also a writer, and just released my second book of poetry "Reclaiming the Apple: Poems from Afghanistan," about my trip to Afghanistan with Global Exchange. I have also studied shamanism and the history of consciousness-- taught classes on Cave Art from a shamanic perspective-- and I have a lot of experience with ceremony, the most delicious thing!
