Freda Westman works as a Program Coordinator with the Council on Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault in Juneau, Alaska since November 2011. She previously worked in a domestic violence and sexual assault shelter as a program director for close to 10 years. Freda made a career in human resource management and then came back to work in the field of domestic violence and sexual assault.
Freda served on non-profit and professional society boards and as a public member on the Council on Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault, as the Grand President for the Alaska Native Sisterhood, and she is currently a board member on the statewide Girls on the Run steering committee, and does work on race in Juneau with a grassroots group.
