About The Event
Barron County will join the rising with an expo celebrating women and community, love and healing, justice and empowerment at the Cedar Mall in Rice Lake from noon until 6:00 p.m. on Valentine’s Day, February 14, 2014,. The expo will feature local vendors with healing, nurturing and pampering products as well as information about local organizations that help victims of abuse, rape and domestic violence. It will be an opportunity to share ideas and information and to gather as a community on this designated day of love to promote healthy, loving healing of our global community. We will end the event with a flash mob dancing Debbie Allen’s choreography to the ONE BILLION RISING dance anthem BREAK THE CHAIN, lyrics by Tena Clark, Music by Tena Clark/Tim Heintz. We are rising to come together as a community of survivors and supporters to let those living in silence know that there is hope and help out there and that together we can break the chain.
