JourneyDance for V-Day/One Billion Rising

United States > California Hot Springs > Vedanta Spiritual & Holistic Retreat 41208 Hot Springs Dr. California Hot Springs, CA 93207 > 2017-02-11 > 11:00 am

About The Event

Please join us for the day at Vedanta Spiritual & Holistic Retreat to dance in solidarity to end violence against women and girls. This is part of an annual, worldwide day of joyful protests called 1 Billion Rising which happen on or around V-Day (February 14th). This movement was started by Eve Ensler (who wrote Vagina Monologues). We will donate a portion of our proceeds to a local charity who support women and girls. We've chosen February 11th because the entire JourneyDance community will be dancing in cities all across the globe so your feet will be adding to a much larger vibration. JourneyDance, a movement meditation with Sasha Zeilig, will start at 11 am. Vedanta will provide a vegetarian lunch at 12:30 pm. And then at 2 pm, we can all go soak and swim in the historic California Hot Springs pool and hot tubs just a mile up the road. (Admission included in your ticket price) A $35 donation gets you all this. Wear movement clothes (flowy if you want to) and bring a swimsuit and towel for the Hot Springs. All genders and ages welcome for this event!
