Samarthan is a student initiative under 'Centre for Social Sensitivity and Action' of Goa Institute of Management (GIM) . Goal of Samarthan is to promote the culture of being socially responsible among budding managers and stress on the importance of giving back to society. Apart from managing & coordinating the institute's CSR program (GiveGoa Initiative) along with the faculty coordination team, Samarthan also organize events to promote the spirit of community & social well-being.

Samarthan is a platform where GIM students strive to bridge the gap between ideas and actions and thus contribute towards societal betterment. Towards achieving its goal, Samarthan has been organizing social events for various purposes such as Woman Empowerment, Health and Hygiene, Solid Waste Management and Career Opportunities for school students.
