About The Event
On February 14 2014 we are calling on all women and men and kids to RISE, RELEASE, and DANCE for JUSTICE! Join us for an inspiring late afternoon "party" outside Palo Alto's beautiful City Hall in King Plaza where we will gather to dance and listen to great spoken word poetry (by Cheri, aka Ms Chillin') and music (performed by Etienne Franc and Gina Rene, with her hauntingly beautiful, soulful voice).
4:00PM gather at City Hall (250 Hamilton Ave) to learn/practice the dance
4:30PM perform dance and be inspired
ONE BILLION RISING FOR JUSTICE is a global call to survivors, and all who support, them to break the silence and release their stories – politically, spiritually, outrageously – through art, dance, marches, ritual, song, spoken word, testimonies and whatever way feels right.
We'll set up a resource table to display and distribute information for continued inspiration for change; so if you have information to share, please bring it.
LET'S JOIN TOGETHER AND BE THE CHANGE.
