About The Event
Please join us for an afternoon of Circle Dance as we dance ancient, traditional, and modern dances from all over the world. The focus will be on dances and music written and choreographed by and for women across the globe. The dance steps are simple and easy and will be taught before each dance. The music and steps range from upbeat and lively to gentle and meditative. No experience necessary and men, women, and children of all ages and fitness levels are welcome to attend.
About The Organizer
Kelly Smith
Kelly Smith has been teaching Sacred Circle Dance and ecstatic dance for more than fifteen years. A former children's librarian, she is now a play therapist offering Sand Tray Therapy to children and adults. Twenty-five years ago, she has her then infant son spent eight weeks in a women's crisis centre. Since then, the issue of violence against women has been dear to her heart.
