Ms. Madeeha is a feminist and women rights activist working for last 13 years in development sector on various positions and advocating for survivors of violence and their rights at different forums across Pakistan and represented Pakistan internationally on different platforms. As Senior Trainer and Assistant Coordinator for women program at Rozan, she works with victims in crisis situations and survivors of violence to support them in their case management. She does that by creating a network of referrals and liaising with the Social Welfare Department, government-run shelter homes, the police, lawyers, medical providers and NGOs etc. she conducts trainings on various topics like life skills, GBV sensitization, reproductive health, counseling & case management skills and psycho social support etc. She is also involved in community interventions and coordinates with community leaders to develop understanding and better responses to gender issues, child protection and violence against women. Ms. Waheed has hands on experience of arranging awareness raising campaigns and direct dealing with marginalized groups in the community, especially women, young girls and children with an emphasis on raising awareness of emotional health, gender-based violence and human rights. She is an active member of EVAWG national chapter, serving as Coordinator SANGAT Pakistan (A South Asian Feminist Network) and focal person of One Billion Rising Campaign in Pakistan since 2019.
