My revolution is my book. I was a domestic violence victim for five years and almost died at the hands of the father of my daughter. Before that I lost a baby, three months pregnant, from an intense and violent attack. In my country, Portugal, nearly 40 women were killed by their partners last year. This year there is a body count of 26 wives, not counting daughters, sisters and mothers. 107 children are orphans only because of slaughtery of their mothers. So, I wrote a book, not about me, but about everybody who suffers like I did. So they know they are not alone.
My book sales revert to help APAV Portuguese Association for Victim Support (NGO).
