My Revolution embodies the sustained indignation and audaciousness of Fannie Lou Hamer: “Nobody’s free until everybody’s free.”
From girls and women in the ‘Hood to girls in the Hills; from women on the margins, to women in the mainstream… My Revolution is the Womanist spirit and knowingness that we are our sister’s keeper and WHAT HAPPENS TO HER HAPPENS TO ME. It’s saying something–calling it by name–and doing something because our lives depend on it.
