Salila Rising was created as a means to support women and stop the cycle of trafficking, poverty and violence through economic empowerment. The more women are given equal opportunity and feel empowered, the more society stands to benefit! With financial support and independence, women can make decisions for themselves, which almost always leads to investing in the safety and welfare of their children and families. When a woman rises she lifts others with her! The benefits then expand from family, to community, to society. Through supporting women and creating economic opportunities, Salila Rising is effectively engaging in the eradication of human trafficking in India and the freedom and empowerment of women… one thread at a time.

‘Salila’ is the feminine Sanskrit word for ‘flowing water’ and all over the world we can see that women and the feminine are RISING! Salila Rising is a movement of empowerment! Our mission is to support WOMEN in RISING above oppression, violence and slavery to find healing, forgiveness, strength and freedom. We are a business, but also an expression of the power within every woman and a voice for the betterment of women’s rights in India and around the world.
