This Is What Justice Looks Like

Prosecute Moral Systems Abusive of Human Rights

By: Gihan S.

Justice looks to me like calling a spade a spade! Some moral systems which normalize violence against women and children have the amazing ability of turning themselves into a race and you into a racist for criticizing violence.

The best way to understand what justice is, is to look into nature! Nature will support the survival of strong individuals( natural selection) and groups who can act like a strong-individual by cooperation, provided that they can stand to cheats and invaders, such as ant communities(inclusive selection) Cooperation is critical for the survival of our species, but unlike ants and bees, we have to organize ourselves and make our own social contracts for cooperation. This cooperation entitles a uni-vision of justice which should not be base on metaphysical concepts.

I see justice as
1- Re-designing our global ”organizational chart”; are we cooperating as individuals, clans, nations, religious entities and if we all have the same perspective of justice.
2- Prosecution of all moral systems abusive of human rights.
3- Stop pretending that any given religion is a race and criticism of religion as racism.
4- Education for sustainable development; gender equality at the heart of sustainability.
5- Realizing the statistical-gap in reporting abuse: Women living in abusive communities are less likely to report abuse for cultural reasons and might statistically appear more protected and content, than those who live in a liberated environment.

Normalizing violence works in a cycle and the only way to break this cycle is education and activism unless intervention to change laws is possible.
