Justice is the confidence that my future daughter will never fear being a woman. She will walk alone as a friend of the night. She will choose her dress as a creative and independent spirit, for there will be no lascivious gaze. She will be touched only by her own volition and for her own desire. She will never question the worth of her own skin. She will embrace her partner neither as patriarch or patron, but as an equal. And she stand with other women as proof that thousands of years spent on our backs have not robbed us of the strength to rise.

I will dedicate this V-Day to loving myself enough to leave the path well-trodden and forge a new one for the girl who follows.
