Dark is the history,
Wails heard around the globe.
Pain and suffering,
Her story now told.
She gives birth to humanity,
Her strength is profound.
Tethered and burdened,
Her voice makes no sound.
They are afraid of her,
Of her power and light.
They fear she is smarter,
She’s oppressed by their might.
Their brawn can subdue her,
Her mind is her own.
Her plan is to beat them,
She’s no longer a pawn.
Courage and bravery,
She wears as her cape.
A plan and support.
Give way for escape,
She is but one,
Her sisters then appear.
Together they are bound,
They rid themselves of fear.
With arms raised,
In defiance she says.
NO MORE, I am strong now,
I am worth more than you said.
The Sisters and children,
With Solidarity they turn,
Strength in their numbers,
They leave, they don’t mourn.
She is one of many,
We women of earth.
Empowered, determined,
Experience rebirth.
