About The Event
No one should live in fear of the person they love - but a quarter of all in the UK women experience domestic abuse, in fact, even though less than half of all incidents are reported to the police, they still receive one domestic abuse call every minute.
At our event we'll be encouraging members of the public to write responses to the question 'What is love?' on hearts, which we will hang together on a line. We'll be talking about what love is, and what love is not.
Come along and meet us on Friday 14th February, we'll be at The Mander Centre in Wolverhampton from 12-3pm – we would LOVE to hear people’s thoughts.
About The Organization
The Haven Wolverhampton
The Haven Wolverhampton was established in 1973 to provide emergency accommodation to women and children suffering domestic violence and homelessness. The Haven has refuges across the City of Wolverhampton, providing emergency accommodation to up to 73 women and 100 children at any one time. We also provide 24 hour staff/helpline support, community outreach, criminal justice support, children’s services, benefits advice, debt relief support, counselling, resettlement programmes, and accredited Domestic Violence Awareness training.
