About The Event
One Billion Rising Revolution events will take place simultaneously throughout the world. Join the Bronx Academy of Arts & Dance on Valentine's Day as we stand with and for women, female bodied people and transwoman all over the world demanding justice!
This event will invite women's art organizations and local dance groups to dance with us.
Dance begins at 7pm with a putluck dinner, followed by an open speak out against violence, a presentation of Eve Enlser's "Rising" read by Micheal Lynch, drumming led by Retumba and then the music will be turned up for a night of empowerment, dancing, freedom and fun!

The Bronx Academy of Arts & Dance is a Bronx arts organization that produces, presents and supports the creation and development of works in contemporary dance and all creative disciplines which deal with woman, people of color and the LGBT community.
