About The Event
This year to mark the ONE BILLION CAMPAIGN 2021 under the theme RAISING GARDENS, we are going to commemorate the day which is also Valentine’s Day with a Hike, Camp and tree planting for mental health. The Hike, Camp and tree planting for mental health will bring together all LBQITGNC persons interested in contributing to mental health outcomes especially fostering and uplifting queer relationships, unions and partnerships. The main aim of tree planting is to foster growth and naturing and will be an inclusive space for eco- feminists. This will be a two-day activity that will include a nature trail hike in the forest, Edutainment sessions (poetry, song and dance), open discussions, vent session around a bonfire, couple support groups, speed dating and tree planting.

Western Kenya LBQT Feminist Forum based in Kisumu, KENYA. Western Kenya LBQT Feminist Forum is an advocacy based agency focused on building and strengthening the community amongst Lesbian, Bisexual, Trans and Gender-non conforming(LBQ and ITGNC) people. We do this through feminist forums that focus on Sexual Reproductive Health, Mental Health, and well-being, Access to Justice, Religious and cultural engagement, Security, Economic empowerment, leadership and governance, resource mobilization, research documentation and Media engagement.
