About The Event
Vaginas In Exile
The Vagina Monologues, a ground-breaking play consisting of short stories that tell empowering, humorous, confronting, and heart-breaking experiences about women and their vaginas are now happening again in Thailand organized by Myanmar women.
Every year, thousands of women worldwide organize benefit performances of The Vagina Monologues as part of V-Day, a global movement of activists who advocates the end of violence against women and girls. Events arranged as part of V-Day aim to increase awareness and understanding of violence against women and girls by raising funds and consciousness.
TVM 2022 will be having two shows-one in Bangkok & one in Chiang Mai in the Burmese language and others between March-April. We welcome your ideas and support to make this happen. You can take part in this as a volunteer, a performer, an organizer, or all of it. As for performers, anyone who identifies themselves as female can take part in the performances. For volunteers and organizers, we welcome ALL GENDERS.
