About The Event
The award-winning play is based on V-Day Founder/playwright Eve Ensler's interviews with more than 200 women. With humor and grace the piece celebrates women's sexuality and strength. Through this play and the liberation of this one word, countless women throughout the world have taken control of their bodies and their lives. For more than sixteen years, The Vagina Monologues has given voice to experiences and feelings not previously exposed in public.
About The Organizer
Shondrea McCargo
Shondrea McCargo is an educator and ambassador, passionate about helping others share their stories. Her love for the production of the Vagina Monologues was sparked at her alma mater, Morgan State University, after being cast for her first show in 2012. She currently works in the Baltimore City Public School System as a fourth grade teacher, where she uses her past experiences teaching in the city and abroad as a Fulbright English Teacher, to develop and encourage well-rounded and compassionate world citizens.
