About The Event
An evening of Poetry and Dance An event for Girls and Women to be Empowerment. Finding their voice, Finding their Dance. Poets/ Activists-Shami Native Earth, Tiffany Miller, Carmen Murguia and Akua Oladunjoye along with Nia Instructors- Barb Wesson, Angela Smith, Marisa Hernandez- DeWindt and Dori Frankel Steigman will come together to dance JOY, STRENGTH, POWER and LISTEN to VOICES of Spoken Word to INSPIRE the FIGHT for JUSTICE! Event is a fundraiser for One Billion Rising to support the Worldwide Work they are doing to bring awareness, justice and an end to the violence against women and girls EVERYWHERE! 6-7:30pm @ Body and Soul Healing Arts Center 3617 N. 48th St. Milwaukee WI

Angela is a community activist in the city of Milwaukee.She is a Mother to a daughter! An Fashion Designer, NIA Instructor, Reiki Master, Art teacher, Actor, Feng Shui Practitioner and believer of Justice for all! She believes in spreading the word and helping others find a way to live a better life.
Knowing first hand the effects of violence in her own life and those around her. She is a loving and concern teacher of many things from health to sewing..
