About The Event
We will gather (women, men teens aand children - all welcome to leave work and gather together to show up for ending violence against women and children.
We gather at the bottom of the high st. in Totnes, at 'The Plains' outside '7 Star' hotel.
There we will walk in silence up the high street, and dance 'Break the Chains' in a location TBC as a flashmob.
All are welcome. You Do not need to 'know' the dance to join in with this event.
Please wear RED and if you can bring banners on the theme of 'One Billion Rising to end violence against women and children' and other relevant statements.
Also - we will be holding Dance practice - teaching how to dance 'Break the Chains' at Dartington Village Hall every Fri. from 24/01/14 to the event as well as Tue 11/02/14. This is a wonderful community time of RISING joyfully dancing together. Children welcome.
