About The Event
I want to bring V-Day to Auckland in 2016 in a strong way. I am a trained actor, and I effect change through the powerful medium of theatre. I want to put on The Vagina Monologues at The Basement Theatre in Auckland, New Zealand form February 14th- 16th and make a contribution to the V-Day movement. I also want the women of diverse Auckland city to come together and feel free to embrace being a woman, by talking about those things we don't really get a chance to talk about anywhere else. I think a crucial part of making change is getting the issue into discussion in multiple places, and this event will get people talking. Women need to be able to talk about the struggles that come with being female. Unity creates strength and we need strength to infect change. This show can do all of these things in an exciting, creative way.

Grace Augustine
My name is Grace Augustine. I am nearly 21 years old, I'm from beautiful New Zealand and I am about to finish my final year of drama school. I am dedicated to improving the lives of the neglected through the powerful medium of theatre. I think women and young people are strong as hell and have the power to create change anywhere. I think creatives are imperative to the development of society. I think caring is cool. I love dogs, food, learning and music. I have my mother to thank for everything.
