The LIBERTAS Project is a group which supports victims of domestic abuse in their understanding of their abusive relationship & the effects on them & their children. It provides practical support/ "self help" techniques for parents to work with children to help them understand what they have witnessed & to ensure the adverse impact is minimmised. The Organisation is naturally defined by the fact they have suffered domestic abuse. LIBERTAS offers a chance for a better life - to be out and stay out of an abusive relationship, to recognise problems caused by that relationship and have the skills to solve those problems - to build self esteem & in turn creating stronger communities - raising awareness of domestic abuse and making it the community's problem not the individuals, making the victims stronger and givers to the community in terms of volunteering and campaigning to end violence against women and children.
