About The Event
At the intersection of poverty, racism, war and the degradation of the environment, women and girls continue to experience impossible violence in their lives, and the perpetrators continue with impunity. This event is a part of ONE BILLION RISING FOR JUSTICE, which will galvanize women and men across New Mexico on 14 February 2014, to demand justice for all women and girls who have survived or are at risk for violence and for those for whom justice is seldom served. We will hear personal stories from women whose daily lives are at the confluence of these issues – Guadelupe Angeles; Blanca Oritz and Renae Swope.

The majority of the work done for 2013's event at the Roundhouse, New Mexico's State Capitol Building was done by essentially ten volunteers and as we continue to ensure that all women and men have a voice we invite you to join our team!
