2.13.14 SIERRA COLLEGE INFORMATION RISE UP! 12:00 – 12:30 The Quad We seek 300 + individuals to join the Sierra College Rise-Up to End Violence Against Women and Girls Information Brigade. Arriving in the Rocklin Quad at noon, wearing red shirts, the Brigade will gather signs and stacks of 4”X6” information action cards. One side of these cards contain data concerning violence against women and the other side a list of local and national resources for women, their families and their allies. At 12:10 Brigade members will fan across campus and take positions in hallways and outside of buildings to distribute the information cards. As additional visual support for the message in Rise-Up, posters from the Why We Rise Project will be posted throughout campus. We ask that faculty either allow their students to join the Brigade on the Quad or invite a Brigade member to enter the classroom and distribute the cards.
