About The Event

With the funding and support from One Billion Rising and the New Economy Coalition by the Black Solidarity Economy Fund, we are Rising for the Freedom of Love. Each year we gather to raise our voices against rape and gender-based violence that targets women, girls, LGBTQ+, and otherwise gender-nonconforming folks. This year we invite the community to our land base in St. Ann. We are excited to share a time with beautiful offerings of drumming, song, dance, poetry, prayer, meditation, and healing
