About The Event
Join us for One Billion Rising, Flagstaff Style! We will gather in Heritage Square for a rockin drum procession, joyful Break the Chain Flashmob, and heartfelt Open Mic event. We welcome men, children, and people of all kinds. Please wear pink, red, and black to show your solidarity with women and girls worldwide!
We are hosting free community Break the Chain dance classes throughout January and February in Flagstaff and Prescott. See www.bellyroles.com or flagstaffaerial.org for class times and locations.
Our sister city this year is Bukavu, Eastern DRC. To all classes and events, you are invited to bring a clean, gently used or new bra. We are collecting bras to enable Congolese girls' participation in dance and sports at school, and to help them avoid sexual harassment at school. Please support our Congolese sisters with a donation to Hero Women Rising (see event links).
Adults, join us on the evening of February 11 at the Green Room for the infamous, creative, sexy and entertaining Love Advice Show and Hungry Hearts Cabaret. Visit flagstaffaerial.org for details and tickets.
